Nihari Curry Recipe
RECIPE TO SERVE 3-4 PERSONS
Ingredients
- Chicken/ lamb/ beef shank 500g, large portions
- Cooking Oil 85 ml / ½ cup
- Shan Nihari Concentrated Stir In Sauce ½ bottle/ 6 tablespoons
Cooking method
- Stir fry meat and bones in hot oil until it changes color.
- Add Shan Nihari Concentrated Stir In Sauce and water (6 cups for beef and lamb, 5 cups for chicken). Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender (1-2 hours for chicken / 3-4 hours for beef / lamb)
Serving suggestions
- Optional: Fry a slice of onion in ¼- ½ cup of oil and pour over the nihari.
- Serve hot with Mezban Taftan Naan or Mezban Tandoori Roti
