Nihari Curry Recipe

RECIPE TO SERVE 3-4 PERSONS 

Ingredients

  1. Chicken/ lamb/ beef shank 500g, large portions
  2. Cooking Oil 85 ml / ½ cup
  3. Shan Nihari Concentrated Stir In Sauce ½ bottle/ 6 tablespoons
 

Cooking method

  1. Stir fry meat and bones in hot oil until it changes color.
  2. Add Shan Nihari Concentrated Stir In Sauce and water (6 cups for beef and lamb, 5 cups for chicken). Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender (1-2 hours for chicken / 3-4 hours for beef / lamb)  

Serving suggestions

    1. Optional: Fry a slice of onion in ¼- ½ cup of oil and pour over the nihari.
    2. Serve hot with Mezban Taftan Naan or Mezban Tandoori Roti
