Sundip Shahi Haleem Recipe

Shahi haleem mix

Required Ingredients:

  1. Beef OR Chicken - 500 gm / 4-6 large bonless pieces
  2. ) Bones / Joints - 500 gm small pieces
  3. Oil / Ghee - 2 cup / 350 grams
  4. ) Onion 1 medium sliced
  5. Sundip Special Shahi Haleem Mix Pack - one box contains two packets a) one pack of haleem spice mix b) one pack of pulses and grains 

Cooking Instructions:

Preparation of bone stock

  1. ) In a separate pan, cook bones / joints with 4 cups of water on low flame until half water is left. Drain the stock and discard the bones


Cooking Haleem:

  1. ) Heat one cup of oil / Ghee, add meat and Haleem Masala from the sachet and fry for 4-5 minutes.
  2. ) Add soacked pulses & grains, bone stock, and 12-15 glasses of water and cook on low flame until meat is tender. (Beef will take about 4-5 hours and chicken will take much lesser time). Stir occasionally during cooking.
  3. ) Now grind the Haleem with the help of a wooden spoon or grind half the quantity in Kitchen Blender. DO NOT GRIND INTO FINE PASTE.
  4. ) Fry the sliced inions in one cup oil until golden, stir them into the Haleem and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes.

Serving Suggestions:

  1. ) Serve hot with Naan
  2. ) Garnish with fresh coriander, sliced ginger, slit green chillies & sprinkle with Sundip Chat Masala
  3. ) For better results, use meat from leg and breast.
