Dates Halva

khajoor ka halwa

Ingredients

  1. ) Wheat flour - 200 grams
  2. ) Ghee - as required
  3. ) Rose water - Half cup
  4. ) Dates - 200 grams, stones removed
  5. ) Sugar - Half cup
  6. ) Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
  7. ) Saffron - Half teaspoon
  8. ) Milk - 1 tablespoon
 

Cooking method

  1. ) Roast wheat flour in a pan thoroughly while continuously stirring it
  2. ) Add 4 tablespoons of ghee in the flour gradually and mix it until completely mixed 
  3. ) Now add rose water, dates with stones removed, sugar and mix them well
  4. ) Once mixed, add cardamom powder, saffron and milk; keep stirring
  5. ) Now cook for five minutes on low flame
  6. ) Dates halva is now ready to be served 
 

Serving suggestions

  1. ) You can do a topping of cashew nuts and almonds before serving
  2. ) For thinner helva, add more milk. 
  3. ) This dessert can be served hot or cold
