Bombay Biryani Recipe
Ingredients
- ) Beef, Mutton or Chicken - 500-750 grams (small pieces)
- ) Basmati Rice - 500-750 grams washed and soaked for 25 minutes)
- ) Onions - 2-3 medium sized, sliced
- ) Plain Yogurt - 200 grams, whipped
- ) Tomatoes - 5-6 medium sized, sliced
- ) Potatoes, peeled - 2-3 medium sized
- ) Sundip Ginger Garlic Paste - 4 tablespoons
- ) Green Chilli - 4-6 pieces, cut from center
- ) Cooking oil / ghee - 250 grams
- ) Sundip Bombay Biryani Masala - One packet
- ) Fresh coriander - 20 leaves approx
- ) Fresh mint - 20 leaves approx
Cooking method for biryani masala curry
- ) Heat cooking oil / ghee in a pan and fry onions until golden brown. Add tomatoes and fry for 5 to 6 minutes
- ) Add meat, ginger garlic paste, potatoes, yogurt, Sundip bombay biryani masala packet and fry for 10-15 minutes on low flame
- ) Add 2-3 cups of water and cook on low heat until the meat is tender. Fry until oil separates from the curry, now add green chillies and cook for 2 minutes. In case of chicken, use less water.
- ) Biryani curry is now ready
Cooking method for Biryani rice
- ) Take 10-12 glass of water in a large cooking pan and boil, add one teaspoon of salt and boil the presoaked rice till half cooked. Remove from heat and drain the water thoroughly from the rice.
- ) Spread the cooked biryani masala curry over the rice in two layers, sprinkle the fresh mint and coriander leaves.
- Now cover the pot and simmer on low flame until rice are fully cooked and tender
