Bombay Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

  1. ) Beef, Mutton or Chicken - 500-750 grams (small pieces)
  2. ) Basmati Rice - 500-750 grams washed and soaked for 25 minutes) 
  3. ) Onions - 2-3 medium sized, sliced
  4. ) Plain Yogurt - 200 grams, whipped
  5. ) Tomatoes - 5-6 medium sized, sliced
  6. ) Potatoes, peeled - 2-3 medium sized
  7. ) Sundip Ginger Garlic Paste - 4 tablespoons
  8. ) Green Chilli - 4-6 pieces, cut from center
  9. ) Cooking oil / ghee - 250 grams
  10. ) Sundip Bombay Biryani Masala - One packet
  11. ) Fresh coriander - 20 leaves approx
  12. ) Fresh mint - 20 leaves approx
 

Cooking method for biryani masala curry

  1. ) Heat cooking oil / ghee in a pan and fry onions until golden brown. Add tomatoes and fry for 5 to 6 minutes
  2. )  Add meat, ginger garlic paste, potatoes, yogurt, Sundip bombay biryani masala packet and fry for 10-15 minutes on low flame
  3. ) Add 2-3 cups of water and cook on low heat until the meat is tender. Fry until oil separates from the curry, now add green chillies and cook for 2 minutes. In case of chicken, use less water.
  4. ) Biryani curry is now ready
 

Cooking method for Biryani rice

  1. ) Take 10-12 glass of water in a large cooking pan and boil, add one teaspoon of salt and boil the presoaked rice till half cooked. Remove from heat and drain the water thoroughly from the rice.
  2. ) Spread the cooked biryani masala curry over the rice in two layers, sprinkle the fresh mint and coriander leaves. 
  3. Now cover the pot and simmer on low flame until rice are fully cooked and tender
 

Serving suggestions
